The letter was showing a lot of emotions and personal feelings. Letters were sent during World War 1, because that was the only way that soldiers could communicate with their families and friends. Letters were really significant during World War 1 because they ease the pain and the worries of separation, letters also inform and relieve people that had family members in the war.
A form of Entertainment ( music )
This song was created by E. L. Gruber from 1918. During the World War I, posters, books, music, etc. were made as a way to keep each other entertained. For some musicians, creating songs was the way to express their feeling of hardship during the war. With music women and men were able to illustrate their feelings of separation and loneliness. It impacted the future because different music styles were spread because of the war.
A form of Technology ( maps )
A map from 1914. Maps were used as a way of guidance, it was the only way for soldiers to know where to head or to know where they are during the World War I. This map was made by hand, it shows the locations of where the war occur such as in Russia and Germany. Maps impacted the future because back in the 1914-1918 there was no electronics that would help soldiers know how to get to a place, and now we have electronics that shows us the map and tells us the exact way of how to get to a place.
A form of Weapon ( Poison Gas )
Poison gas was used during The World War I, soldiers used three types of gases, such as Chlorine, phosgene, and mustard gas to defeat their enemies. The Three types of gases are considered as a weapon because when the soldiers inhaled the chlorine gas it destroyed their tissue in their lungs because of the hydrochloric acid. The phosgene gas was very difficult to detect, which made it a more effective weapon and soldiers used it because it killed more people. The mustard gas was used to harass and disable the enemy, it caused internal and external bleeding, the mustard gas also made its victim's skin blistered and their eyes become sore. Poison gas impacted the future because many people were killed with gases and if they didn't have a mask it was impossible for them to survive. The masks contained a rag soaked in urine which saved many soldiers from poisoned gas.
